You or a friend can make it using a regular sewing machine, some denim fabric and high strength tubular webbing, seatbelt material and some nylon buckles. If you live in a large city this stuff should be available locally, if not order over the Internet. Cost to make this sling (materials only) is between $45 and $65 depending upon your suppliers and what you have on hand already. If you're not fussy about color, purchase end-of-the-line denim for about one-quarter of the price of regular denim. Depending upon what type of lift you have, you may need some type of adapter bar, simple to make from chain and hardwood dowels.
